Models

There are 2 models of HDI 3D Scanners:
HDI ADVANCE R1 and HDI ADVANCE R2.

The design of the HDI 3D Scanner follows the company’s core philosophy—flexibility. With an adjustable field of view, the 3D scanner can scan objects of different shapes and sizes. Components of the system can be upgraded to improve scanning performance. These attributes make the HDI 3D Scanner a perfect system for research labs, educational institutes, and manufacturers that need complex measurements for visualization, reverse engineering, and rapid prototyping.

HDI Advance R1

Designed for scanning detailed objects for high quality data output. This scanner is great for applications including reverse engineering and rapid prototyping.

HDI Advance R2

Great for industrial applications where detail and accuracy is extremely important, this system uses high quality 2MP monochrome CCD FireWire cameras and 5MP lenses.

Features and Benefits

Fast Scanning Speed with High Resolution Results
One Scan = Up to 1.7 million points (3.5 million polygons)

The HDI 3D Scanner produces a scan in 1.4 to 3 seconds. Fast scan times reduces the opportunity that live subjects (ie. people) will move during the scanning process.

HD Quality Scans

The HDI 3D Scanner uses two HD machine vision cameras to provide scans up to 30 micron accuracy (3D Point Distance).

All-in-one Solution

Users can skip the process of importing scans into a third-party 3D-data processing software with HDI 3D Scanner’s basic alignment and merging capabilities.

Complete coverage with Two Camera System

Two cameras capture more data by scanning two sides of an object simultaneously that would otherwise be hidden if scanning with only one camera (ie. sides of the nose). The 3D scanner automatically merges the results together to create a 3D model.

Supports 360° 3D Scanning with Automatic Merging and Alignment using Rotary Table System

Automate the process of performing multiple scans of a single object and automatically aligns and merges the scans to form a 360 model. Reduce scanning and processing time. Rotary Table System sold separately

Adjustable Field ov View

Proprietary scanners have a size restriction on the objects they can scan. In contrast, the HDI 3D Scanner has the ability of scanning objects of different sizes by changing the scanner’s field of view. The scanner can scan objects as small as a coin or larger subjects such as a human face or a car.
