Stratasys systems for prototyping through manufacturing

Throughout the development and manufacturing production cycle, FDM systems are invaluable every step of the way from conceptual prototyping, design verification and direct digital manufacturing. Every Stratasys system has been designed to manufacture parts that are accurate, have fine feature details and smooth surface finishes and that can withstand functional testing in rigorous testing environments. No matter if you buy our low throughput prototyping machine or our high throughput production-quality direct digital manufacturing system.

Manufacture Real Parts With:
  • Fine, Crisp Feature Details
  • Smooth Surface Finishes
  • Repeatable Accuracy
  • Exceptionally Strong
Stratasys FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology will change the way you think about prototyping, design verification and manufacturing. It can be used at every stage of your development process, from prototyping your concepts, to verifying your design, through manufacturing real parts for end use. Imagine the possibilities.

Stratasys Fused Deposition Modeling

Stratasys developed and manufactures the patented Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM™) systems that manufacture Real Parts composed of production thermoplastics. Because FDM uses real production thermoplastics parts manufactured are stable and have no appreciable warpage, shrinkage, or moisture absorption, like the resins (and powders) in competitive processes. The FDM process doesn't employ dangerous materials and requires no special venting, so it is a simple addition to any office or engineering workstation.

CAD file to part in just three steps

Stratasys FDM systems enables you to manufacture real parts in just three steps, unlike some competitive processes, that have up to 16 steps. Just load your file, manufacture your part and remove the support material.
